upon further inspection...

So, I've been thinking a lot about going to UT for the summer semester, and I've come to the following conclusions:

1) I had no summer plans and was desperately trying to get hired by a camp, but now I don't have to worry about that.

2) I will be able to continue living on my own instead of being frustrated by living at home under my parents' rule...

3) I will be able to graduate early. Actually, WAYYY early since I'm [almost positive that I'm] getting credit for this year at Hebrew U.

4) I will be able to already get to know the city by the time the real school year starts, bypassing the "hopelessly clueless Freshman" stage when everyone else is experiencing it.

5) I will be able to meet and get to know a lot of people before the school year starts... find my niche early instead of being overwhelmed by the 52k students there.

6) Get a job. I want to work at Hillel and it will be so much easier to get a job when there's no compettition.

7) And honestly? Summer semester or not, I'm just glad to be going to UT. I'm thankful that I wasn't capped and sent somewhere like San Antonio... (no offense, Aaron)

8) I'm also thankful to be going during the Summer and not having to do something like a Midyear program... what the hell would I do until next January?

To be honest, the only downside is having to leave Israel a week early... but I've also been here a month longer than anyone else; I was shipped off in the end of July. I've been here a WHILE... I think when the time comes, I'll be ready to come home. Besides, I'll be back soon :)

...buyakasha.
