i would like to feel good enough about myself and the way i look to be able to go to a place like...
which is in Santa Fe. holy moly. you should see this place. UN-friggin-believable - way beyond anything in Albuquerque and way more posh than anyplace in Philadelphia or ANY kind of club/eating/drinking establishment i've ever been to, really. now, i am not a party-girl who frequents night-clubs, etc. - never been one of those - so maybe i am coming from a 'sheltered' point of view - but this place looks POSH to me. i guess that the owners of this establishment are seeking out the hollywood types who DO live in New Mexico (more than you would imagine) and are just a short drive from Santa Fe up in Taos if they're not right IN town. i dunno, but with this being one of the poorest states, it seems like a really WILD juxtaposition - that kind of place being so up close to desolation and poverty - but I guess it happens in New York and L.A., too - so why not here in li'l ol' New Mexico, eh? Anyway, how cool would it be to have someone take you on a really hot date to a posh place like that and then stay in a hotel and have great sex and fall asleep in each other's arms? How GREAT would that be? I'm just saying.
Oh, dude. I need to go to bed soon.
Today was a fun day - got to take the kids out all day and have fun with them. We delivered bagels to J's office and his mates there. Then we went to the library and checked out books and videos and did the preschooler storytime thing. After that, we dropped off a borrowed tupperware at Nana's house. Then picked up lunch for J and the office. I took the kids to the store to get some apple juice. Then we had to take J to one of his board meetings, so dropped him off there and we were in the Museum District so I took the kids to see the World's Longest Dinosaur at the Museum of Natural History - that was fun. I love watching them get excited over anything - they are so cute and wonderful! After that we had a little time to kill and drove around, went by J's dad's house but he wasn't home, then went back to pick J up, met a few of his business acquaintances, headed home, picked up a pizza and that was that. Oh man - that must sound so dull to you single people out there in LJ land - but, it's really quite a nice life, I must say.
*smile* I love my Jonny. I love my kids.
