Hmm, I must find out what there is to do in Motherwell...
I can't keep telling people "Well, there's a cinema, but that's actually in the next town over" and "There's the field... well, it's not really a field, it's a big slag heap from the mines that stuff has started growing on, but you can almost see the Clyde from it".
There "is" the dirt path beside the Clyde river that goes down by the bird sanctuary, quite scenic. Although parts of that are usually either flooded or on fire. And what remains of the path only goes one way as it's partly blocked by some subsidence (the railway bridge fell on it during one of the winter storms).
