Waiter at Suntec
Met my friends at 3.30pm at City hall we need to meet the guy at 4 but we reach there 5 minutes after 4.At first, we thought it was a wedding,then a prom hight because a lot of them wear extravagantly.Actually it is Dairy Farm dinner cum dance with 2400 guests. 5 of us took out our IC and they write our particulars on a voucher. Handed me the voucher and a name tag with a name of Alex. This is done to protect ourselves or don't to print our name.Im not sure.Next we surrender our IC to the person in charge ,collected our pass and move on to the uniform room to collect the uniform.We wore the uniform,The uniform is somewhat heavy cause of the shoulder padding and the material used ,pin on the name tag and we are good to go. We then proceed to the staff canteen to had our meal. After the meal,we enter into a humongous lift whose Doors opens vertically a freight lift it is called.Had a briefing at the auditorium.
Im surprised that there is lots of Mats and Minah working on this line. Beside that, our head is very fierce.We then form groups of 12-15 waiter. Had a tour around the pick up to the Bar.
Finally, guest arrived. I serve them beverages first. Oh ya,Im in charge of table 30 31 14.Soon almost everyone are here and seated. We all went to the back to pick up our starter. The starter was unreasonably heavy.We had a waiter presentation. Mind you, it is a 8 course dinner.
Then do all those waiter stuff
I acidentally pour sprite on my guest plain water.Then guest start to hum chio when she take a sip.Whisper to her friend.I knew I did something wrong.I apologise straight away and offer them to exchange.Luckily they whine and complain.Can't Blame me Sprite looks like water.Water looks like sprite
Get my partner to do all the serving while i take the dishes.Because I don't know how to cut fish how to pour soup how to ration it to them.
Another One,when i started to clear the chinaware,I heard a explosion on the stage.I chua tio and almost drop the chinaware.
We had our debrief and collect back our voucher.No voucher,no money.Change back to our clothes and collect our salary.As there is a long Q.The malays gets impatient.
