Corn dog & beer diet???!
Skipped the gym yesterday to wander the County Fair in record heat (101!!). Had a great time there with ladyforash and her family, but I ate icky stale fries with lunch (so not worth it!), an ice cream cone to help cool down, and later had an iced mocha. The night before, we went to the baseball game and drank beer with our corn dogs/hot dogs, fries (good ones), pretzel, red rope licorice... Yeah, I needed a trip to the gym today.
When I got to the gym, Wayne said I looked like I'd lost weight. I laughed and said I doubted it after the corn dog and beers the other night! He laughed, but wagged a finger at me for eating junk. We did a remeasure anyway, just for kicks. Actually, Wayne wants me to do measurements every two weeks to track my progress, especially after today....
Only lost a pound in 4 weeks, but my BMI went down from 34% to 31.1% Yay!!!!! I traded five pounds of fat for five pounds of muscle! :) The only bad part is where I seem to have gained that muscle - from about mid thigh to my hips. Not a good place to be bulking up! Wayne thinks it's a combination of the deadlifts adding muscle to the tops of my thighs/butt and me increasing the weights on everything because I'm not fatiguing the muscles in 3 sets of 15. The new plan is to go back to the original weights and increase the reps to 20. Well, I did 25 of everything. 20 just didn't push me. Oh well. Tomorrow will be upper body and abs again, then I'd do the ass kicker on Saturday to close out the week. Maybe next week I can lose another pound and keep it off.
Oh, yeah, and I have County Fair pix to share. Yes, it was hot and we all got sunburned, dehydrated, and probably a mild case of heat stroke, but it was fun! There were Pig Races, X-Games Motorcycle Jumping, Flying Frisbee Dogs, vendors, exhibits, animals to see (and pet & feed if you are me! lol), games, food, and rides. Dude, the bikes were so awesome! Four guys doing backflips, whips, and other stunts, sometimes in a chain. Too cool. The animals are alway fun too. I can't resist talking to them, especially the babies, and will pet any animal that comes up to me. Hey, what can I say, I make friends easily! :) We wandered for about five hours before we were just too hot to continue.
I gotta say though, I'm a little worried that ladyforash is a bad influence on Avery. Yes, I know, it's hard to believe, but I have proof!!!
