There are ants everywhere in this house
Its not like our house is dirty (the maid came yesterday) - its just accessible to bugs, lol. Almost every room has vents to the outside, with no (or torn) screens in them and - since its summer - our windows (which are also screenless) are open almost every day, all day long.
So, in short, I share my home with a variety of little creatures. And I tell them all the same thing - either you eat everything smaller than you, or get out of the house please. And, so far, we seem to have a fairly stable ecosystem. I might have to get a little tougher with the ants that patrol the bathroom, but that's my only complaint at the moment.
I feel stuck - again. My writing seems to have dried up at the moment. But that's okay. Today I'm going to visit the Nurses' Association of Botswana and see if they want a volunteer. Then I'll swing by UB, pick some stuff up from my office, maybe see if Dr. Johnson is around, and then go to the OIEP and see if I have any mail. (I know, I know, why bother, lol.)
Running errands - moving around - is good. Feels productive. Whether or not it actually is is debatable, but don't make me think about that right now.
