Why Christian Scientists Are Just Plain Wrong
For those of you who don't know, Christian Science is a religious practice that forbids the use of medicine, instead only using prayer for healing. They believe that sickness is due to a lack of faith, or that it's all part of God's plan. There are a LOT of objections to this practice - for example, parents denying life-saving medicine to their children - but I think mine is the most foolproof.
According to Christian Science, people born lactose-intolerant shouldn't eat cheesecake. They believe that, for some people, not being able to eat cheesecake is something God wants. They willingly deny cheesecake to people. How can people believe in a cheesecake-hating God? How?
