Zomgz back
Apparently it's been 54 weeks since my last post. That's over a year. It's been a good year, though, so i cant complain.
Updates:
- I now work at Long Beach City College Multimedia Equipment Service and Support - the LBCC MESS. Probably the first job i've ever held that i actually feel satisfied doing, and dont hate everyone around me. This is a pretty good thing, as far as i'm concerned.
- Uuh...i started playing WARMACHINE. This is actually more applicable then it seems at first. The reason, coming up!
Okay, so here's the reason. I got antsy. Sorry. So this livejournal will be a place for my rants about my warmachine stuff now. Pictures too, probably. It's nerdy, it's lame, and it's fucking sweet. Anyway, that's what you get to look forward to.
So, for those of you that care and will read this, i'll start off with the obvious: I play the Cryx faction, which are the undead soul-stealing liches and general bastards of Western Immoren. I also play the Trollbloods, which are, strangely enough, a collection of the various related species of trolls, struggling for survival on the fringes of civilization against the encroaching cities of mankind.
That aside, i suppose just get ready for an onslaught of nerdiness about how cool this hobby is, and all the exciting stuff that's gonna happen, is happening, or has happened. For example: last night i played with epic Asphyxious for the first time, and he kicked Joe's ass. Like, to the point where i'm worried that i'm gonna get challenged to a rematch, and get my ass handed to me. I'm #2 on the league boards at Brookhurst hobbies, and my current goal is to somehow beat the #1 guy, Adam, and take his crown. It's gonna be hard. He beat me the first (and thus far, only) game we played, and i suspect he will tromp me again. Worth trying, though. If i can beat him, it'll be so goddam sweet.
So that's kind of Entry #1 in the new doug's livejournal. We'll see how long i can keep this up.
