Sorry that it's been so long since I have updated. Training took a lot of time, and I ended up working 8 days in a row. Needless to say, I was ready for this day off! I have to say that this experience in the Front Desk has put my faith back into training at Disney. This experience was much smoother than my training at Hollywood and Vine. I've had two shifts on my own and I felt totally fine and I even got a GSF card. For those non-Disney folk, it's like a UBA, or for you non-Red Robin people, it's a recognition card for doing a good job. I'll work a few weeks on the Front Desk and then around Valentine's Day I will attend Concierge classes.
In other job news, I interviewed for a TA for an OTA position at DU, but I didn't get it. Now I can focus on other things, like the Leadership Casting Call interview that I have on Thursday. I found out yesterday, what that means is it's another step in the management program for Disney. I am thrilled to even get a first interview, it seems to be competitive but I feel strangely confident about this interview. I also posted for Guest Relations so we'll see what happens with that. I am excited to have all these opportunities but I also wish I had some consistency so I was able to get on more of a schedule. I guess that's what happens when you have goals. :)
