"When Will My Life Begin?"
I was able to get an ER (Early Release) at work yesterday because we only had 3 classes going on. It’s been fairly quiet around Disney University in general this week. I’m told that this doesn’t happen often so I guess I’ll enjoy it, but I’d much rather be busy! I had intended to be productive with that ER go grocery shopping, go to Target, etc. but instead I took a nap. I much needed nap apparently, because I slept for 2 hours! In case you were wondering, I did get a trip to Target in once Duncan got home from work.
I’ve been really trying to think about my next step after this internship. I’m not sure at all, so I decided to start looking into “career” type books. I found one that told me that I’m a “Gold/Green” job person. Gold means that I’m into organizing and administrative duties, which is true. It also said that I enjoy gaining more responsibilities which is also true. Apparently 48% of people in the United States are “Gold”. Green implies that I have the people person gene, which is also true. I find these 2 things to be slightly contracting because I don’t know have that many jobs that include administrative and people but I’m on the look-out for that for now. It lists quite a few jobs in various lines of business such as guest service manager, tour guide, travel agent, teacher, secretary, things in health services, and the list goes on. These are mostly things that I have considered at one point. It’s good to know that I’ve mostly been on the right track. It looks I’ll be staying with Disney for a while then since moving around the company in different roles is encouraged.
