It’s my Monday today. It was a pretty good day. It’s always on Mondays where I wished I would have done more productive things on the weekends, but really, what fun is that? Duncan and I spent the weekend playing out in the parks. We went to Universal Studios on Tuesday; we made a conscious effort to do all the shows, since we haven’t seen them before. I have to say, while most of them were entertaining for the time being, I don’t know that they have much repeat value. Our other day’s goal was to see the Superstar Parade, which ended up being a letdown. Disney has the monopoly on parades for sure. After the parade, we started to go to Islands of Adventure, we made it to the Hard Rock Café and we heard a large rumbling of thunder and without any other warning it immediately started to downpour. It was nuts! It was like it was something out of a movie, everyone was just running everywhere. We just popped into a building to put our raincoats on (we are always prepared!), then we continued our walk, but the rain was just so intense we had to stay under the Guest Relations building for a while. Did you know that apparently rain means that separate sex bathrooms don’t matter? It was a little ridiculous. In fact, lots of things that day, made me decide that I’m going to blog about the stupid things I see people do in Orlando Theme Parks. I swear when people get off the planes, they lose all common sense that they had.
Yesterday, we spent the afternoon/evening at Animal Kingdom. We had 2 goals 1) To see the Otters 2) To stay until close which was 8:00 PM yesterday. We did both! I had no idea there were otters at DAK, and it made me so happy! They were sleeping but now I know where they are. I also discovered the Giant Anteater. He was seriously large. I can’t believe I had overlooked these things!
Duncan started his Animal Kingdom job today. We are anxiously waiting for his schedule to come out because that will include his days off until the next bid comes out. We are ready to start planning out things beyond week by week!
