*Elphaba knew it wasn't a good idea to go back to the dorm after the explosion. She knew it very well...but she had to make sure it didn't get broken or lost. It was all that--
Clutching something in her robes, the green-skinned Ravenclaw darts back down the stairs toward the exit of the common room, holding onto the remains of the banister as she skips over the partly-broken stairs toward the bottom, when out of nowhere a piece of stone come loose from the ceiling and falls right on the foot that Elphaba was about to step on.*
Ahh!
*Pain searing through her foot, she loses balance and trips over that leg, falling down the remainder of the stairs. In the movement there is a crack, before she lands in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. Elphaba at once tries to get up, but her leg won't support her; it's broken.*
