Nerd Status: Revoked
So, yesterday Breanne and I were walking around Capitol Hill, running some errands, when we walked by The Egyptian Theater. The Egyptian does the “midnight movie” thing, where they show cult classic movies at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Earlier in the day, I passed by it and saw that the midnight movie for this weekend was THE HOLY RAIL. I had never heard of this movie. So when I passed by the sign later with Breanne, I asked her if she’d ever heard of it. She said, “Yeah, it’s about hobos who rode the rails back in the 70s. It’s very spiritual. A cult classic.” I just nodded and admitted that I had never heard of this cult classic movie. Breanne just looked at me and said, “Are you serious? I was just joking. It’s obviously The Holy Grail and the G just fell off.” I mentally slapped myself in the forehead and laughed aloud. I can’t believe that I didn’t make the association. I think I need to purchase some 20-sided dice, just so I can turn them in at Nerd HQ.
