Greetings to All and Sundry!!!!
Heaven and I have "weathered" the storm and are incredibly thrilled to have A/C again! We fared MUCH better than most, who are still without power. The lines for gas are ridiculous and thankfully I filled up the night before the storm hit. Some grocery stores are open but again, lines out the A** so we aren't going there yet. Several of the restaurants around us have opened to the delight of MANY MANY people. What I DON'T understand? Why isn't STARBUCKS open?????????????? This is my FOURTH DAY without it and I am going into the DT's.

In all seriousness, the thing I REALLY can't understand? Is the whole "looting" thing. A walmart was looted and burned to the ground and the place Heaven works was broken into. Thankfully, the owner had prepared for this and put everything into the vault Thursday nite. The robbers broke the glass door but when confronted with the inner iron gate, decided it was too much trouble! She had to go in today to help with cleanup but that area still doesn't have electricity so she's off work till probably wednesday.
