Catching Up

I think I fried my power supply. For a while, I've had two hard drives and a disk drive attached but little else. Earlier today I hooked up a CD burner, a DVD drive, and the Live Drive for my Audigy. The poor little bugger hasn't turned on since. :(

I haven't posted in a while so might as well make a full entry.

My job has been coming along relatively well. Today was going to be the day I was going to post to see if someone wanted a night job as a barback, but someone has just filled the position. For the first time in three months, I might actually have free time while trading hours with the newbie (unlikely).
It will be a relief, though. Juggling between the job and school has ultimately been a distressing experience fueled by neverending fatigue and unfettered grouchiness. School is perhaps the more tiring of these two wretched ping pong paddles of pure evil. In the next six weeks, I have two gigantic History tests worth 50% of my grade, two English papers and a final exam worth 75% of my grade, and a Humanities final that isn't worth much but will likely leave my tender anus torn and bruised before managing to escape the bounds of that infernal hellhole.

And I asked Jeanine out a few months ago and we've been dating since. This has been by far the best thing to happen to me since I got this job and will remain so without question or even a second thought.

The band has also been coming along relatively well. Our drummer mysteriously vanished and has since been replaced by a much more talented, experienced, and stable virtuoso. My keyboard setup has been expanded greatly:

We still have a sampler to add to that, but that's mostly what we'll end up performing with on my end of it: Vintage Keys, Yamaha Stage Piano, Micromoog, and a MIDI keyboard attached to a laptop for softsynths. We're starting to look at some places we want to play at, but probably won't play any shows until after the New Year.

I've been enjoying the luxury of being able to spend money since I now have it and have purchased a wide number of questionable accessories including a KVM switch (to save desk space), an Audigy 2 Platinum, a Bluetooth adapter (actually, two of them because I'm an idiot), a few games, a few DVDs, and as of tomorrow, a PS2 network adapter and Action Replay MAX. That said, I've undertaken the task of modding my PS2 because I'm a glutton for pain and obviously have too much money since I can still afford to eat and must get rid of that evil green menace as quickly as possible.

And that's it. I'm also hooked on the New Pornographers, but cannot listen to them at the moment because the power supply on my 500gb storage beast just fizzed out. Now I will urinate and go to bed. Good night.
