(no subject)
well as everyone knows by now, bush will be the president for the next 4 years. i'm sort of scared about this cause of all the changes that bush wants to make. amending the constitution against gay marriage, taking away a woman's right to choose abortion, possibly a draft(even though he "said" he wouldn't, and certain other things. yes i know i'm christian and that being gay is wrong, but i believe that people should be able to be who they are. we should be accepting of others. it's not like those gays or lesbians are physically hurting anyone, so they deserve to be happy. if we make an amendment to the constitution about this, we might as well make one not letting people of different races get married. and what ever happened to "separation of church and state"???? bush shouldn't be running the country based on his religion! now abortion shouldn't be made illegal. i definitely agree that women shouldn't just get it because they got pregnant. there should be an actual reason for it, such as the woman might die from giving birth or they were raped. adoption is another option, but it might not always apply. the whole thing about the draft is just scary beyond belief. bush has said that he won't institute the draft, but what if he changes his mind, and congress actually passes it. i know i wouldn't want to go fight a war, when i didn't have a choice. war is just not for me. if the draft ever did happen, i would be old enough, and i would be out of high school by then. apparently college or moving to canada wouldn't be an option either. it just sucks how we aren't old enough to vote, yet we will be affected by the future president's choices. as far as people's political views, everyone is entitiled to their opinion. i may disagree, but i won't be like "you're worng" or "you're stupid and u suck!"
in other news... i am very excited that fall guard/marching band will be over soon. i need a break. i have just been way too stressed out lately because of guard, and work, and school, and future plans for college(or something else), and SAT's on saturday. speaking of that, i should study soon. last night with the battle of the bands was so bad! most of the bands sucked. won't mention the ones that did, but i liked "the man daniels" cause they weren't screaming into the microphone, and u could actually understand what they were saying. i think some of the music was actually making me feel sick. and the fact that my van was being sucky last night didn't help anything.
