I've been having somewhat of a busy life very recently. First, I went to go see "Ah, Wilderness" last Friday night at the Chapel Street Players Theater. That was a pretty good show. Everyone laughed the hardest when the one character's fake mustache came undone and then fell off. David Weddington also gave one of the best performances I've ever seen as the character of Sid. He definitely stole the show.
Then, I went down to Dover to go see the Busch race on Saturday and had a walk around the tents and such. Got a Jeff Gordon shirt and that was about it. Later that night, I got dressed up and went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show special Pirate Night. It had the most people I've seen since I started going two months ago. I sure got a crap load of fake coins as well.
Yesterday, I went down to Dover again this time to see the NASCAR race. My man Jeff Gordon was in the lead but ended up finishing a respectable seventh. After spending two days at the races I got a little sunburn on my face, most notably my nose, but the sunblock I put on helped lessen the damage. And when I got home I was actually thankfull that I missed the ugly game that my Steelers lost last night. We really need to shape up our O-line in the offseason, or Ben's going to get killed out there!
Tomorrow, I'm going to The Grand in Wilmington to listen to a performance by Julie Fowlis -- a singer who sings entirely in the scottish gaelic language.
Then I'm going to see the filmed final performance of RENT in the Regal theater at People's Plaza on Wednesday night, and then maybe again on Sunday night.
Finally, I got a rehearsal with my director for Talk Radio this Thrusday night before I go to my mom's for the weekend on Friday.
So, yeah, definitely been keeping myself very busy lately.
