Well I thought I wasnt going to be that affected by the event that happened this monday. Yeah, those events. Well today in Intro to Psych our proff took it a bit far and made us sit in a circle and talk about "feelings." "Feelings" which errupted into scared korean kids and a chick raised in Hong Kong arguing and then relating it to Imus in the morning and everything was getting so ridiculous. But I didn't want to speak up. I was enjoying listening to peoples "feelings." But it made me realize that I really didnt know much about what happened. I was sort of avoiding it. So i went home and read Cho's plays and recently watched the video of the threats he sent to CNN. Nothing hit me still. Then I went here:
http://www.nytimes.com/ref/us/20070418_VICTIMS_GRAPHIC.htmlA memorial site to everyone that was shot.
Seeing their faces - and realizing how young they were. How some of them were from other countries and maybe it took their family way longer to find out about what had happened. Some poor kid was from Saugus? Who would have guessed. Then that professor who was a holocaust survivor who blocked the door with his body from Cho. Someone in class mentioned that Monday was the memorial day for the Holocaust. Holy crap. Then I clicked on Dan O'Neil.
http://myspace.com/residenthippyThat was the saddest thing of all. These kids had no idea that they were going to wake up one morning and get shot in class. In psych we talked about how who is going to be able to change something like that? Who is going to point the finger at the odd kid out? No one is going to think my school.
I dunno. It just really sucks. I'm so tired of people dying. Aren't you? So tired.
Sorry if this post was cheesy but maybe someone was interested.
I'm just so sad for the families and friends of these people.
In other lesser of two evils:
this is the worst/almostlast week of my life.
Yes. Let the panic and red bull begin. /cry
