Anyone know of a good method for preserving something made of plaster?
Almost 4 years ago, my dentist took impressions of my teeth to make study models for my Invisalign treatment. Now that the treatment is totally and completely done, he's followed through with the promise to give me the models of my teeth and they sit on my desk grinning at me right now. I want to keep them as an oddity - something to have as a strange and personal conversation piece - but the plaster they are made of is fragile. What can I do? Spray on a coat of varnish, maybe?
On a related note, my work study students are freaked out by my plaster teeth. I keep wanting to go across the hall with the teeth and go CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP at them. :)
