I CANNOT BELIEVE I MUST WAIT ANOTHER WEEK. NEED TBD FIX NOW PLZKTHNX

*FUCK ME DEAD. The confessional scene was, just. Tommy, BB, no reason good enough to kill again. EXCEPT FOR YOUR BROTHERS. RIGHT, BB? Apparently, some have felt the entire *CUTS A BITCH* thing was ooc/too much. UH, this is the guy that fucking shivved a guy like a pro two episodes back. Then killed like two guys. THEN is down with smushing up legs with a BIG DAMN HAMMER. It's been repeated *over and fucking over* That when it comes to his brothers, Tommy will do *anything* that all reason or morality flies out the window for the prime directive of: Family Above All.

*Which, really, the point of this and "A Stone of the Heart" was not even that "the price" was Jenny, but rather it was showing us *Tommy losing his soul* I mean, that is a part of The Story. The moral disintegration of the one supposedly moral person. The relative ease with which The Good Guy takes to immorality. Which, yeah we have to compare to Kevin and the dumping of Louie Downtown and the bus thing.

Kevin had to have the moment to put him on some kind of.. somewhere on the same footing as Tommy who, whether he's ready to be honest about it or not, has pretty much crossed his lines in order to carry out the prime directive. It's something Kevin, while able to kill, wasn't able to really face the consequences of it, I don't feel. The ugliness of it, vs Tommy being the guy that does what has to be done. Which, Sean and Jimmy at least seem different.

Jimmy, god damn son, YOU ARE DUMBER THAN A SACK OF DEAD MICE. I felt bad for Kevin (currently my second favorite Donnelly) "Tommy was right" (ORLY?) when Jimmy wanders off to get a fix. He couldn't let his brother sit in jail, even though he had to know exactly what Jimmy was going to to do as soon as he got out.

The conversation between Jimmy and Tommy sets up an interesting future conflict dynamic. That, you know, Jimmy could be competition of Tommy unless somehow "kept in line" that he would get annoyed and impatient and do something *really fucking stupid* (man, let us discuss how there is potential that Jimmy could be one of "the bodies" Joey is asking about. I mean, again huh. DUDE I DONT KNOW. I have to think more about that, still! THOUGHTS! YOU BROKE MY HEART, FREDO and all that.) Also, you know, Tommy's continued denial that he's done anything so huge as take over the neighborhood and it's the threat from Nicky that is going to force him to go, "Oh fuck, it's the organized crime life for me" because, Nicky is dumb/smarter than we think??! and threatened the brothers and you do not do that, bb.

*Loved seeing baby!Tommy and Jimmy and Tommy getting him out of trouble, just OH TOMMY.

*BUT ANYWAY, the point again: Tommy losing his soul and also realizing that just because he thinks it is all over doesn't mean it is and that he *can't go back again*. He makes mention a few times about in the opening of 1x2 about acting like it's a normal day, which is cute if not loldelusionalsauce.

*Stupid theory that with my luck could actually be true: That everything Joey is saying is lies and that he's the one that did everything. OKAY, THAT MAKES NO SENSE. Yes, Joey is a massive unreliable narrator, but, I just don't see that as fitting the very obvious ripoff whatever the show is doing or making any sense. The point of Joey's narration is to a)give a framing device for the story and attempt to provide and easy way for exposition b)and easy way to push humor in ("did you pay for that?" "probably" LO FUCKING L) c)to emphasize that this is a story worth hearing and that it's going somewhere. That there's a reason the cops and lawyer and whatever want to know stuff from Joey and that there are bodies that they're curious about and Joey's in deep trouble because of something. I just, honestly, don't see "Joey Ice Cream, Master Criminal" making sense.

BUT I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE, HELLO ROB THOMAS D:

*Can we discuss the massive mindfuck that seems to have been laid on Tommy his entire *LIFE*. Mamma Donnelly telling Tommy to "tell that to his brother" was fucking *heartbreaking* because you... dude, I really can't express words because it just is and it cuts to a personal thing with me, but that's a serious mindfuck to lay on anyone and you know it happened even when he was a kid. Which, as much as Tommy and Joey want to blame the smashed leg of eternal guilt for Tommy's obligation thing, dude, this goes *bone deep* and is about his place in the family. "Tommy, you're the good one. Make sure your brothers stay out of trouble. You be a grown up and take care of everything" Especially when you consider Daddy Donnelly's untimely passing.

I love Jenny a lot. I love that she is all, "DO NOT WANT" because she *knows* what Tommy is doing/becoming and cannot allow herself to be a part of that (even though she CLEANED UP THE FUCKING BLOOD OH GOD OH GOD) and that probably, of anyone, she's in the least amount of denial. The boys all seem to be some sort of state of "WELL THIS CAN'T TURN OUT THAT BAD" and Momma Donnelly seems to like "what? oh just some blood on his sleeve. SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA STAB A BITCH, OKAY"

I just... I love this show to itty bitty irrational bits. Because, again I SAY THIS, *IT'S THAT STORY* about losing one's soul and obligation and guilt and what we do for that prime directive. That, we can destroy ourselves for someone else (OH TOMMY) and the compromises one has to make in that. The... moral person attempting to survive in the world is that is not so moral or even *what a moral person is* (Like, you know, does the moral person allow his brother to be a lamb to the slaughter? Y/N/OMGWHAT?)

This is my 7th post in a row that is somehow related to this show. OVER OBSESSIVE ME? NEVAH. *omg*
