we had an earthquake today. a little one, only a 4, but it happened in the middle of class so it was kinda entertaining. I was on the third floor, so we really felt it, and the teacher (this tall, manly guy) was totally startled and froze for a whole minute, probably waiting for an aftershock, while all the kids tried to get a reaction out of him m(o.o)m

Also, can I just say that I hate hate HATE the words "swum" "sung" and "drunk" (in the non-alcohol induced sense...) The kids are studying the...crap, don't know the english for it. Show's how great my grammar skills are. It's kakobunshi in Japanese. Maybe past participle? The verb conjigation where you say "I have just eaten (a cookie)." And apparently the kakobunshi for swim is swum, drink = drunk, sing = sung. "I have just swum." "I have just drunk." "I have just sung." It sounds so wrong in my head. why? do we not say that in normal american english? am I going crazy? It's in the textbook, though that's no real guarantee. If I'm speaking I think I leave the have part out and say "I just swam." Gods. Anyone who can still speak English, please tell me if I've gone insane <<(>_<)>>

OH! Exciting news! I found paradise!* It's in the back corner of the big mall in Niihama. This means I can actually buy pants in Japan! Yays :D:D:D

*Used in this context, "paradise" is defined as a store in Japan where fat people can find clothes that fit

A lot of things have been going right recently. Despite this I am moody and hormonal. Also, my skin hates me. I hate it right back.

It's warming up and I've started running. I also joined a gym yesterday that is rediculously far away from where I live, so I'll never go, but that's alright. I'll lose weight by paying for the gym membership, then not having money to eat. This is the current plan.

My kids at school make me really happy. They smile a lot. We should all smile more. It makes other people happy too. ^_______________^

[edit:] I did not in fact die of appendicitis as my previous post, followed by the long stretch of no updates may have indicated. My theory on the pain: Strained muscle caused by too much bowing. XD
