Man, Johnny Cash puts me in tears everytime I hear his version of "Hurt". I've always been a fan of his music and the man was an extraordinary musical wizard. It irritates me even more when I look back and read about his life & times; the way he was treated his whole life by the country music world was a complete travesty. I am glad that they finally acknowledged his genious; but I'm even sadder that it was all done pre & post mortem.
Anyways, he'll always have a special place in my heart. My grandparents were big fans of his and my grandpa even met him & his wonderful wife back in the early days of his career. What I wouldn't give to have come face to face with the legend.
