I would thank you, but films, I am afraid, are never worthwhile. You'll never direct a classic, Sebastian, we both know that. In ten years, all your precious films will be nothing but a footnote in a wikipedia article.
Many would argue that my films are already classics, but modesty forbids me from making such claims personally. I'll let time prove the matter first.
Whereas I'm quite confident that henceforth, and like so many projects of its kind, Ribbon will only be remembered as a film. Only precious few will be bothered to learn the trivial matter that it was originally based on a work of fiction.
