At least we'll have a larger client pool . . .
One of my speech pathology classmates has expressed her seemingly sincere beliefs that a) her dogs talk to her; and b) that dogs as a species will soon (to be exact, "like in a hundred years") be making an evolutionary leap and speaking.
Not making this up.
My thoughts on the subject:
a) I don't think she realizes the last person to become famous for his discussions with dogs was David Berkowitz, aka Son of Sam.
b) I wonder if her dogs tell her to shut up? Because I want to, all the time, but feel constrained by the classroom setting.
c) Part of me wants to keep my distance from her. Part of me wants to ask why dogs are going to develop language and speech before chimpanzees, because I have a feeling her answer would be a glittering jewel of stupidity.
d) She's fucking with us all, right?
