Today was one of those meeting days from hell. One of the meetings I found I could barely keep my eyes open. So boring!
However, it gave me time to think about things that I need to do.
First: tonight I need to buy tickets for me and Andy to fly to Florida in March. We are going to Ft. Myers to spend time together and also hang out with his folks and his brother's family. It should be fun, and I'm going to plan some side trips in the area so we can get away from the clan. Did I mention that I've never been to Florida? I'm excited!
Second: I'm going to try to sign up for a bootcamp training class at MSU. I'm going to do my darndest to get into shape, and this class sounds like the bees-knees (whatever THAT means). Here is the description of the class. I know this kind of thing will kick my ass, but maybe that is what it will take for me to get into shape?
*MIA: Mavericks in Action is a boot-camp style class that progresses as the semester goes on. Register today for the M/W 3 pm class or the T/Th 3 pm class. The cost is $50 and includes pre/post assessments as well as individual attention and a t-shirt if you complete 50% of the classes. Due to the high intensity, periodized structure of this class, you cannot join after the initial registration period (Dec 15-Jan 21). Each class is limited to the first 20 participants. For questions or more details, or to complete a registration form, stop in HC 1410 between the hours of 8am - 5pm, M-F. Payment due at time of registration. No refunds. Class starts January 26th and goes through April 30th.
Third: I'm buying an indoor antenna. Mankato has its towers 30 miles away from town. Who planned that, I ask of you!? I found an indoor antenna that can supposedly go to 50 miles, so I'm going to try that. Our cable officially goes out January 19th. So I'm in charge of setting us up with entertainment. My plans of using Boxee for windows has been put on pause while I wait for them to send me an invite. I am hoping I get it by the 19th! Goodbye cable, hello internet tv! Once that is working, we will also get a Netflix account, which can also do streaming videos through Boxee as well. What is Boxee you ask?
http://boxee.tv/Let me tell you, Boxee is the future of tv. Only problem is that I can't get in the Alpha test to get to play with it. sigh.
So, now I'm laying on the couch planning on doing at least two of the above items tonight. I will not play warcraft I keep telling myself. We will see how this goes.
