Yippie! My Jimmy has a new movie coming out this month!

Launch screenings of Blessed, starring James Nesbitt (of course) begin on October 24th at the The Clapham Picture House, 76 Venn Street, London SW4 0AT, just one minute's walk from Clapham Common Tube Station which is on the Northern Line.

"Blessed is a magical story which challenges us to question what our priorities should be in today’s mad world."

A successful city broker, Peter’s life screeches to a stand-still when he suddenly loses everything he truly cares about. Seeking comfort in isolation on a remote island, Peter’s life is turned upside down by the arrival of a little girl, Charlotte. Will Charlotte's zest for life crack through Peter’s paralysis? Can he learn to love life once more? And what will become of Charlotte? Blessed is a film for and of our time, whilst being inspirationally timeless.

Be sure to visit the official movie site blessedthemovie.co.uk to watch the high res trailer, pop into the forum and enjoy a video of James musing enthusiastically about the touching story. There is also an official Facebook group for folks to drop in and show your excitement and support.

Us U.S. fans are depending on you UK fans to spread the word and spark interest in this little indy film. If we ever have any hope to see this film, it will first need to capture the hearts of the locals. So note the screening date and location, book early for tickets and go see James shine.

For those eager U.S. fans, spread the word to all blogs, comms, journals and such that allow for it and get the news out about this film so we might actually have a chance to see it.

I've created a group of graphics for use in pimping and have some screencaps for the taking. Want, take, have and share.

Here endeth the pimping... for now. Mwuah, ha, ha, ha!

ETA: Chance for a Q&A with James!!!

Hi, I just wanted to express my thanks to you and all Jimmy's fans who are being so active in supporting and promoting Blessed world-wide. The film truly is very special and Jimmy's performance is quite extraordinary. I met up with him last week to talk about the film again and he recorded some interviews in which he says the film will stay with him forever. We really are so dependent on fan power to push the film across the UK and then internationally as distribution support for independent films in the UK which don't fit the horror/teen/rom-com mould is hard to come by. To achieve a national release and then an international release we need the first week of screenings in South London to be successful. I also wanted to let you all know that, if we do well during the first week, then we will be held over at the Clapham picture house for a second week...and at that point Jimmy will be present to meet with fans and do a question and answer session. All the more reason to spread the word and make the first week a success. Please continue to spread the word and encourage all friends etc in the UK to come see the film. We need bus trips from the North etc to come down and make the point to the cinema network that there is a real desire for this film. For your information, there will be new content on the Blessed website; www.blessedthemovie.co.uk in the next day or two.
Thanks again for your support. It means the world to me and everyone involved in the film.
Mark Aldridge (Writer/Director)
