This post is in response to the meme posed here. Sadly, these are taking me too long so I'll post the first two tonight and get the rest tomorrow.

My list of characters (holy crap, look at all the Doctors *grin*):
1. “Billy” Hyde
2. Dr. Tom Jackman
3. Rupert Giles
4. Ethan Rayne
5. Dr. Hannibal Lecter
6. DCI Gene Hunt
7. Dr. Indiana Jones
8. The Doctor (9)
9. Harpo Marx
10. DS Tommy Murphy

I would swear you guys not only knew the characters on the list but the actual order. And I swear I didn't peek at your responses before making this list. Seriously.

* 3 and 4 have been exposed to some weird disease and are quarantined together. They both could die. What do they do while stuck together in possibly their last days alive?

* 1 and 2 are stuck in a traffic jam on the Interstate. There's been a horrible accident and they can't move forward, backwards, or get out of the traffic. They have to wait it out in the blistering heat. How would they react?

Giles and Ethan are quarantined together and might die. Giles is being stiff-upper-lip-guy while Ethan is anything but, demanding that Rupert do something with his pompous knowledge. Giles does his best to ignore Ethan’s rants of how all Rupert’s years of study and research amount to nothing when it actually counts. Giles determines the only way to shut Ethan up is keep his mouth busy. Smut ensues and they both die happily ever after.

Jackman and Hyde are stuck in a traffic jam. Tom decides to take advantage of the time and reviews his report while Hyde is determined to entertain himself. First, he fiddles with the stereo, permitting only a few notes of each station before searching on. After a few minutes, he curses and leaves it on a rap station, not because he likes it but because it drives Daddy batty. When that doesn’t get a reaction, he takes to adjusting the air conditioner, the side view mirror, the windows and locks by way of the control panels. When that doesn’t wind Tom up, Hyde zaps the car with a slight bolt of energy just as the heat is at its worst. The air conditioner stops working and Hyde begins to second guess his decision. Of course it’s then that Hyde realizes he’s in a bit of a pickle since he’s just come from the pub, having drunk them out of inventory, and now is in dire need of a loo. He slips out the door, unzips and relieves himself right there on the interstate, much to the humiliation of Daddy and shock of the van of nuns in the vehicle he’s watering. Hyde zips up and turns around to see the car driving off, having been car-jacked and leaving him and Daddy stranded at the roadside. But the moment is saved as a Guinness delivery truck pulls up and a duo of pretty lady drivers invites them on board. Tom knows he hasn’t got a chance and calls in for his third sick-day within a month.

7 and 9 buy each other birthday presents. What do they get? What does the other think?

2 and 3 are in the movie rental place on the corner, looking for something to watch tonight. How long does it take them to settle on something, and what do they end up with?

1 and 4 are mocking somebody else on the list. Who are they making fun of?

5 and 6 are conspiring together to commit what crime?

8 makes a playlist/mix tape for 10. What's on it?

Indiana Jones and Harpo Marx are exchanging birthday presents. Indiana gives Harpo an ancient and mysterious crystal skull. Harpo stares blankly at it for a long moment then, without uttering a single word, starts to pick it apart, eating large chunks as if they were candy. Dr. Jones stares in disbelief but opens Harpo’s present to him, a horn with a rubber bulb at one end. When Indiana doesn’t respond, Harpo slips his leg up into Indiana’s hand, gives the horn a honk and assumes his patented “gookie” face. Indiana decides he’s through working with partners and takes off for better company, preferably Nazi’s.

Tom Jackman and Rupert Giles are trying to decide on a film to rent. Giles wants an artsy foreign film. Tom’s in the mood for a classic horror flick and is eyeing the Spencer Tracy version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They only debate for a few minutes when Giles discovers a compromise film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They pick up some microwave popcorn, a bottle of economic single malt and are on their happy way.

Ethan Rayne and Hyde are mocking DS Tommy Murphy, particularly his mustache, and his hopeless seriousness. Ethan jests he’s been cursed without a sense of humor while Hyde blames his morose mood on bad booze and lack of sex. Tommy keeps his cool, down’s his fifth shot of scotch and decides which coworker he’ll bed in hopes to numb his memories, if only for just one night.

DCI Gene Hunt approaches Doctor Hannibal Lecter to get rid of his half-crazed, poncy partner, Sam Tyler, once and for all. He enlists the help of the good doctor to mock-up a false psychological review of Tyler’s mental health that recommends hospitalization. Little does Hunt know that Hannibal Lecter intends to add him to his rich history of dining on “free-range rude”. Just before Lecter get’s his first slice, Sam saves the day and Gene finally admits his undying affections. After getting a brew or two and sandwiches, they drive off together and live happily ever after. Lecter doesn’t intend to go hungry and finds a new main course in DCI Alex Drake whose appalling fashion sense is poisoning London.

The Ninth Doctor makes a playlist for DS Tommy Murphy that includes such hits as “Tomorrow” from the movie Annie, Barbra Streisand’s “People”, Monty Python’s “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”, and the “Happy Happy Joy Joy” by Ren & Stimpy. It changes Murphy’s outlook on life and they travel through space and time together. This lasts for about a week until the Doctor decides Tommy needs a mentor who better understands humans. Capt. Jack Harkness knows just what this mopey copper needs to bring a smile on his face.
