Somethin' was seriously up around this damn school cause the chicks were totally bent for this dude, Xander. Didn't know who he was, but damn, wish I was cause he got all the honey's wantin' a peice of him. Walkin' down the hall, there were just girls huddled around and every word that came out of their pretty lips was Xander this and Xander that. ( Read more... )

Hah! Charles was going to let me out and then I could go find Xander before Mr. Pryce gets back and tries to handcuff me to something else. I still couldn't believe he actually handcuffed me TO A PIPE. I just rolled my eyes at Faith and glared hard at her in return. Yeah, like making death threats to me and whoever else was such a good idea.

"Have fun in your cage while I go find Xander," I said to Faith after Charles left the library.

Once Charles got back with a hammer I smiled sweetly at him and held up my arm so he could get a good spot to break the chain. Grinning quickly over at Faith, I looked back at Charles as he started to hammer at the chain. At the first couple of hits I winced at the sound, but stopped when I realized it wasn't so bad.

"Thank you so much for helping me Charles," I said smiling at him. "Faith's the one who needed to be put in the cage; I don't know why he handcuffed me." The other night when he saved me I had thought he was cute. I mean, I was just almost bitten by a vampire and all, but still I did think so.

But now is was too late. Xander and I belonged together and there wasn't anything pulling us apart. Not now. The kind of love we had nobody - not even slayers or vampires or teachers or cheerleaders - could keep us apart.

And if they tried, I'd make sure they never did again.

I couldn't believe what I was watching. Hey! HEY! Who's the superhero here?! That'd be me! I should be the one bein' let go not Fred the nerd. What was she gonna do about savin' the world huh? Like Xander could ever settle on her. She wasn't anything except a dork. I was the damn superhero! I rattled the cage door again but this time they both just ignored me as Charlie finally came back in with the hammer in his hands.

No way. This was really happening. She was gonna get free and try to go steal my Xander away.

"I hope vampires eat you on your way over to his house!" I yelled at Fred through the bars. Except it was the middle of the day so there'd be no vampires for at least another hour or so but the sun was gonna set fast and then what would she do huh? What would she do without the slayer out there? She'd die that's what! And I wouldn't feel one bit bad about it. Cause she was tryin' to steal my boyfriend.

A loud clang echoed through the library as Charlie struck the hammer against Fred's handcuffs. Oh my God, he was really gonna let her out of there! He couldn't do that! The world needed me! Xander needed me!

I threw myself up against the bars tryin' with all of my strength to knock down the door. Over and over again and harder and harder. I was the damn slayer. This stupid cage couldn't hold me. I was gonna kill Angel when I got outta here. Right after I killed Fred.

Guess I wasn't payin' attention cause I didn't notice that I was goin' about it the wrong way til my head slammed against the metal. For a second the world just spun before I hit the ground and blacked out.

I kept on bangin' the handcuff's hopin' not to hit her cute little hand as I did so. Truth be told, Fred was cute, in that bookish sorta way so I wasn't goin' to let her stay all locked up in a library of all places. Homegirl in the cage kept on throwin' herself up against it until she finally blacked out.

"Yo, should I check on her?" I asked Fred and she just shook her head no. I shrugged, but felt kinda bad to be leavin' her in the cage and what not. She seemed a little ... crazy if you ask me. "Well, she's just blacked out, I'll try and get the door opened and when she wakes up she can get herself out, how about that?" I asked Fred again and banged on the handcuff's one last time and then she was free.

Grinnin' to myself, I took a step back and raised my eyebrow before settin' the hammer down.

"Need a ride home?" I asked her but somethin' told me she had somethin' else on her mind and it wasn't me givin' her a ride home.
