I am very very sleepy. In fact I am drop dead tired. But I have to rec this movie.
If you haven't seen it or even never heard about it, than you have missed something.
"Kingsman" is a spy movie of an other kind. Its heros and its villians are different than what you know. It puts a spin on what you might have expected.
This movie has style, it has class, it has wit and bite, it has violence but is tongue-in-cheek, it has sass and plot and a lot of great actors playing great characters. Its fun! It has a lot of action but also a story. It has great music and a lot of love for details.
So what is it about?
In a nutshell this:
Gentleman spy takes clever getto delinquent under his wings to repay his life-debt and give the resourceful boy a chance (to become a spy). But evil is afoot.
Colin Firth as Harry Hart makes a dashing figure in his first "action movie".
Taron Egerton as Eggsy is a great newcomer and can more than keep up with all the actor legends who are in this movies.
I mean hello besides of Mr. Firth there a Michael Caine and Samue L. Jackson as well.
The later by the way is hilarious as the evil mastermind who can't see blood.
Sofia Boutella as his right hand is scary and sexy. You will be taken by surprise by her.
Oh appropos surprise SPOILER *
So enjoy watching a perfecly styled Colin Firth perform a deadly dance at a church massaker. A phantastic choreography of chaos, blood and gore. It was like witnessing a tornado, but strangly you smile and feel like your are doing relaxing meditation. I loved it. It was one of the best movie fights ever.
An epic quote from Harry Hart to a hater:
I'm a Catholic whore, currently enjoying congress out of wedlock with my black Jewish boyfriend who works at a military abortion clinic. Hail Satan, and have a lovely afternoon madam.
Now I really have to go to bed. My eyes hurt and the clock says its damn late and I have to wake-up early even if my body says i don't want to leave me alone.
Over-tired (?) in the morning is just as much fun i suppose like a hangover. So, not at all. You struggle all day. So bye now.
* Mark Hamill has a small part/role. As I first saw him on screen, I turned surprised to my friend and said "Jedi!" Later on I smiled/sniggered because actually two of the actors have been jedis in their past (Jackson, too) and now in this movie turned to the dark side of the force. Yeah, sue me. ;-)
