BBC has produced a lot of good that I am grateful for.
But I especially have to love them for this: Sherlock.
So hands up who feels the same.
It is like the main character, brilliant!
It really is.
And it made me squee, I mean literally squee, with rapture.
I bought the first season and startet watching on a late workday evening.
And after the first film ended I just had to continue despite the late hour.
Work be damned!
And sleep is overrated ;-)
This mini-series is a true gem. It is very atmospheric.
It is true to the spirit of the original but it is very inventive.
Mixing the old and the new. Creating something completly different. Something special.
The main character is played and phantasticly interpreted by the british actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Sherlock is a genius, he is brilliant, amazing, frightening, cuting, even anti-social,but also funny in both kind of the meaning ,and yes sometimes cruel, always intensive and he is also fragile as well as in a way innocent.
You see all that sometimes just in a tiny shift of his face/eyes.
His partner in crime so to speak is also perfectly casted with Martin Freeman.
That Watson has bite, too.
The chemestry between these two as Holmes and Watson is great.
As I found out thousands of slashers think it, too and have seen even more.
There is huge amount of fanfiction and fanart already out there at the moment.
And good one at that.
So I must be right about Sherlock with my paean of praise because a second season was already prodcasted in Britain and the third is in making.
And if you havent seen any of it, than do it now!
