Holy Crap! She LIVES!
It's been....well....nearly a lifetime...or at least it feels like it...since I've been here. I had to even reset my password and I have to say, I was shocked to see my account was still here in all its pathetic glory.
Life has been busy. I notice my last "REAL" post was before my mom died. Wow. That says volumes. My rock. My source for sanity was gone. I didn't mourn properly because I had a four-year-old who suddenly had her grandmother ripped away from her never to be seen again. Death frightened her. Seeing me fall apart over it, frightened her more. So I held it in. BIG mistake. It took me 3 times as long to get through the grieving process and to be honest, I don't think I ever did get over it.
Baby girl is now finishing up 7th grade. Yeah, that's how long it has been. But she's amazing in every way. Except for keeping her room clean and doing chores, but other than that, she's amazing. As she's grown up she has done so much more than I did ever growing up. She was a Girl Scout. A darned good one too and got her Bronze award. But then she got interested in Archery and that took over the time for Girl Scouts. So we do Archery now. She's a 4x State champion, holds state and national records, is a 2x National Medalist, Grand National Champion and is on the National Compound Junior Dream Team. Yeah, she's good.
As if that weren't enough, she's good in school too. She was just recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.
So. I've been a tad busy. I was the leader for our Girl Scout troop for 6 years. I am now the Team Administrator for our Archery Team and I work full time. There are days where I don't see my house.
I've missed writing and venting my opinions and frustrations. I miss having an outlet. So imagine my surprise to find out...Livejournal had not forgotten me. *Squee!*
If I'm still on your list and you too still exist here, give me a shoutout. I guess I need to see if LJ has a phone app. ..which reminds me. When I last posted...apps were JUST starting to come around. But then, I was also on MYSPACE too. *eyeroll*
