Core Stability class! Yay! I really enjoy these, I think the new spring programme started last week, and we'll be doing these exercises for the next few months. I'm very excited, to the point of wanting to acquire a bit exercise ball. They might be cumbersome to store and not very pretty, but they so work out my core muscles! And the exercises are both fun and easy-ish, and easy to do at home once you have the ball.
Then I did the muscle machines. One day I might actually ask someone to help me figure out the right settings for workout. I realised that there is not only the weight setting, but another setting as well, which makes things more difficult (read: "I can actually feel the muscles working")
And than I did 60 lengths of the pool. Total time: 29'38 seconds. I'm not sure if I'll get much cardiovascular improvement from these swimming sessions. I'm the only person in the pool most of the times, and I think the improvement that I experienced when I was in London, was due to the fact that I got "sprints" every now and again when I needed to overtake people.
Hopefully, between spinning, swimming, all the walking I'm doing on my temp job, I will lose some fat. I'm not talking *weight*, I'm talking *fat*. They have this gizmo scales that tell you the weight of the person standing on it, and also body fat and muscle (both in percentage of total body weight). So in my initial assessment turns out that the three are roughly 60kg, 28% and 29.5%. Now, today I found info on the internet that said that a woman whose body fat content is over 30% is considered overweight. It's a bit of a joke, nobody looking at me would think I'm overweight, but Science thinks otherwise.
