Summary.
Update 9/1/18: I used this account from around 2008 until 2012. I've added sporadic entries since then, but have not actually updated this account in three years, nor do I have any intention to.
LiveJournal is what I used to sort out my own thoughts and feelings as a teen and early 20-something, and it is also where I met many wonderful people with whom I still maintain contact. The platform changed, however, as did social media itself. I've since migrated to other sites, and a platform like this no longer fits what I look for in social media. Needless to say, there is no reason to add me, nor for me to look for other friends. I was never a major fandom contributor, so there's no reason for me to link to my current online accounts. I'm not especially difficult to find.
I've chosen not to delete this account, as it still serves as a sort of online diary for me. I like seeing how I've changed -- and in some instances, how far I still have to go. It's very much a case of self-serving sentimentality. I can't help but feel nostalgic and miss the kind of community that was here.
