Title: Colorfast Part III Fandom: Loveless Pairing: Kio/Soubi Rating: to NC-17 Warnings: No spoilers, no squick Notes: For Theme Set III at centi_porn. Themes "Wait," "Shift," and "Constant." Previous Posts: Part I | Part II
I have mentioned so many times before that you write them so beautifully, but I need to say it again. Again and again and again. 美しい~!
The first one? Gods. For the first time. This breaks my heart in the most beautiful way. It's things like that that make me smile, even if I have tears in my eyes. =P The intimate little things between them, the gestures, especially this - because most people tend to take it for granted. Not Kio, though; not with Soubi who, when he gives it, makes it so damn precious.
Kio wonders offhandedly if this is what being wanted feels like.
...
I don't have an appropriate comment for this. You're mastering the art of killing your reader with single lines. If that wasn't obvious already, I LOVE that technique. I love the 'less is more' approach and this, my dear, is mastery. So.Completely.Beautiful.
All of them are so lovely, but the last one makes me think, not just feel. Kio really is one of very few things constant in Soubi's life. Because he's always there, no matter what, and he - like you show in the second drabble - doesn't ask questions. Because he understands that they would take away from them both. This is why I hate, hate to think that Kio could ever disappear from Soubi's life. Because, much as Soubi can handle things on his own, most of the time, he needs Kio. More than he admits, in fact.
So good. Another touching read first thing in the morning. Thank you. ♥
It is so precious when Soubi yields something. He doesn't do it often and I think that maybe nobody understands the significance more than Kio does. I think that's why I like writing this pairing so much. In other pairings where one character has a tendency to seem like a bit of a jerk, I have a hard time justifying the partner's acceptance of it. With Kio and Soubi, though, there is no doubt with the loyalty (*cough*and it lets me be a lazy writer*cough*). ;)
I'm so thrilled that the mininalism worked here. Fitting everything into a space of 100 words or less is a challenge and its a lot of fun. Sometimes, that can be more powerful, though, stripping away the extra to get down to the point. I have to remind myself of that, because I tend toward wordy,clunky work a lot of the time. ;)
*snuggles with ferocity* Thank you so much. You make me smile. (And ramble. Yikes.) *hearts;
I really, really want to write them now. ;_; Meeeh. Curse the sleepiness and general lack of time. ::whines:: Eh. You make me want to write, you and your FIC. :P
...write more? Pretty please?
I aim to please, by the way. ;) Especially my Wicked-chan. ♥

...I'm not sure if they'll let me stop writing them, so you may be stuck with me. :/
