I haven't posted anything in a long time, I'm a really good procrastinator.
Mostly all I missed out was ranting about the utter lack of good erotic literature.
Yeah, porn.
Moods all over the damn place, cause I'm Good, and Happy, and Fucked, and Doomed. So I think I'll just sit today out. And I'm freaking out, but that's fine. (not really)
Watched Torchwood S1. FINALLY! I blame
sahara_storm I had known about the wonderful ghey, but no one mentioned the Best Part - it's BRITISH. Sold.
So Torchwood is a hilarious romp of rift-tripping aliens, contagious bi-sexuality and enough
Applied Phlebotinum to make Joss Whedon proud.
The cast is also tres yummy!
There's Owen "The Doctor" Harper.
And because I decided to check the wiki cast list, I'm now officially spoiled, but I don't really care, except it's my Goddamn Favourite Character, and the damn BBC better fix it.
=_= Anyway, no one stays dead in these shows. (Hello Rose) Owen mostly exists to poke things, and get laid. And be really bitter. *YAY*
Then there's Toshiko "The Tech" Sato.
I love her. She rocks, and is my second fav character. Tosh handles anything that needs BRAINS.
Ianto "Cuddles" Jones is also a strong runner for favourite. Cause he's cuddlesome. He's a Tea Boy and Secretary and Combat Butler (also part-time shag bunny *hurrah*) His girl-friend is DEADDDD. ;_;
The there's Suzie the Zombie, and Janet the pet Weevil.
Then Cap'n Jack - see I have a thing with Time Lords, even failed ones, David Tennant makes me want to strangle kittens. I'm the sole member of the I LOATHE DAVID TENNANT fanclub. I don't really care about Jack all that much, except S1Ep12 "Captain Jack Harkness" was like the BEST EPISODE OF ANYTHING EVER.
SERIOUSLY. I rofl'd so hard I rolled out the room in a fit of giggles, and for The Kiss, my glasses literally fogged up. Cause I tend to blush for dramatic embarassing moments, so yeah. So Intense & Romantic and Wonderful and SAD.
BEST EPISODE OF ANYTHING EVER.
Then there's Gwen "The Girl" Cooper - I love the actress who plays her, 'cause she does a great job and is the only reason I don't hate this poor Mary Sue. Like everyone has a designated role, but Gwen gets written into all these Sue-type scenarios, annoying really.
Ironically Gwen is actually the most fit member of the team, she's fast. I like watching her run, cause she's a good police officer. She just ended up in the worst place possible.
Torchwood sort of took the idea of that high-level Secret Organization and tacked in onto the side of a Junk Shop. Apart from a conspicuous amount of black leather, no one seems to be particularly qualified to deal with what they deal with, they're under-staffed and under-trained. Basically it's another one of those shows where one can see the massive difference between producing a show for the BBC and producing one in the US. $$ differences like WHOA.
Rather than having a swanky neo-tech office a la "Alias" - they seem to work in a Leaky Dungeon, complete with pet pterodactyl and holding cells - that may or may not be contaminated with killer mold.
So yeah, I think I might love it. Which is good, cause I'd started to look at my television with loathing. Sadly, the cast seems mostly lined up to be taken down, since they all get broken and chewed up and then taped back together.
New Final Fantasy game looks gorgeous as usual, but I'm not fooled, cause it uses the bloody Crisis Core engine. KILL IT WITH FIRE? Y/N? They seemed to pick a random roster too - Squall, Tidus (oh HELL no), Seph, Kefka? All the Goddamn Final Bosses who apparently didn't die...? >_<
Last week I fell in love with the music of
Joanna Newsome, a harpist folk-singer. O___O
