WHO DO WE HATE TODAY?
#1 -
The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) -
I was mindlessly channel-surfing when I came across these righteous bastards. Generally I try to not come off as a hateful asshole when it comes to religion. Freedom of choice and all that - but caught a bit of this program promoting the ADF (on a Christian station) and felt my brain trying to implode.
The ADF believes in defending the "sanctity of marriage", they challenge that the
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is seeking to destroy the "foundation of America" and promote some "radical, evil agenda".
Unless you've been lucky enough to be living in a media-free zone, this should already be well-known by most. I only bring it up because as one of those flag-waving radicals (and the pictures they showed of "evil gay-marriage" were all of these happy couples and I didn't get what was supposed to be evil ) this was one of the first opportunities I had to be exposed to their agenda. Not just the idea, but an actual program, aimed at their core-audience, promoting their agenda.
I still have no fucking idea where the threat is coming from, cause I'd consider cows sacred before "marriage", and really; why does someone else's right interfere with your little picket-fence syndrome. And yes I know I'm not American, but the media hype that goes with these issues help bring it to light in other countries. Like mine, with it's out-dated laws.
I had other stuff to hate on, I made a mental list, I also had some mental anime reviewing. I stress the "mental" part because I get defensive when it comes to my malfunctioning memory. *brilliant idea*
#2 - My Memory -
Useless bit of fucking machinery that is. When I get my new robot body, it'll be so much better.
#3 - MATH (I just remembered)
Yes, I hate math. I suck at riddles and I'm terribly un-clever when they come in numerals. My brother-in-law sent me some twice-damned fwd message with a "fifth-grade" level math question. Knowing your stupid, is nowhere as bad as having it echoed in glaring colours in your reality. Stoned monkies are better at riddles than I am.
AND, yesterday my stepdad set the stove on fire - ha, ha! For once it wasn't me, I was nowhere near the kitchen, last week I set the toaster on fire (again) BUT it was 3am and no-one knew, so it doesn't count. Really, it doesn't. My brother sold his car 8D he asked me if I knew after the fact cause he thought I'd be that spazzed
Reviews
Ghost Hound - have reached eppie 11, don't watch it. Save yourself the bother and stop. It's boring and is just another anime with a lot of interesting esoteric ideas, that fails to communicate them in the plot. Freaking "Ergo Proxy" was better, and that's saying a lot. I won't even bring up the "Lain".
So far it has failed brilliantly in getting me interested with the story (plot...?) and the building of "creepy atmosphere" has become redundant and boring. I get it, it's creepy - a "why?" would be WELCOME. Also there's some "romance" blooming between the main character (15) and some annoying loli (10) - I could do without it, granted in a few years the age-difference diminishes, but wooing a ten-year old is never kosher.
Dragonaut: The Resonance - KYA! This is awesome! Compared to Ghost Hound the quality is way sub-par, but watch it for the lulz, 'cause it delivers. Plot? Dragons save the day *hurrah* I really like the Gio / Toa/ Jin OT3, though Toa is sometimes annoying, she's cute, and unlike the majority of the female characters, her boobs don't have their own ORBIT. No srsly, I rec it for the breast-physics. *heehee*
I've yet to watch "Baccano!", and while I was pondering that, I remembered that I also had "Kino no Tabi" and hadn't watched it either. I'm becoming a bad anime fan. I want some more "Pumpkin Scissors"
But otaku-wise the next Anime Con has been announced ~ sometime in March and tickets go on sale Sat. though you can pre-order your tickets. (went to dig in her inbox)
