I've heard talk of Bleach ep.141 not sucking. This seems odd to me considering it's based of Bleach ch.237

"Good bye halcyon days"

The emo story as told by Kubo Tite of the fair Inoue Orihime bidding farewell to her "golden days." As an adjective, "halcyon" can also refer to calm and peaceful times.

Hey, I just watched it ten minutes ago. I agree with so much of the stuff you mentioned! I really loved that the animators seemed bent on inserting light moments that majorly cut down on the amount of drama I was expecting from this episode. Ikkaku and Yumichika in bandages, for example, or Rukia blushing in front of the twins. It cut up the momentum of Inoue's emo-ness! Yey.

I was so HAPPY too that she tried to rush to Tatsuki's side. :D If I was her best girl friend, I'd want her to pick me over some orange-haired dude who never gave her the time of day.

Although when it finally came down to it, I was screaming inside my head: get your hands off him, girl! XD Thank god she finally did.

You are right about her being one scared little girl unable to think straight anymore. It's hard to hate someone so misguided, with good intentions that jut go horribly astray (did she honestly think at this point that Aizen & friends won't keep trying to kill Ichigo if she went with them? That's naive to think enemies like that have a sense of honor.)

One last observation because this comment is SO long... did you notice that even in the flashback scenes, they could not totally edit out Rukia? :D She was there in the memory montage, when she forces Ichigo to make an apology.

Rukia was all over the ep too -- holding Ichigo's family together AND trying to do her job at the same time. God, I love the woman!

As Spargo once said in an AMV, the animators are *so* on the side of IchiRuki.

This is; I think one of the main differences between IchiRuki and IchiOri shippers, even if we don't completely "like" Inoue, we never just rip on her. Many people simply choose to be indifferent to her rather than hate her.

The "other side" are so mean to Rukia sometimes, there are a few that admit that Rukia is a good person, but even those were mostly converted by her fight with Aaronniro (Espada #9)because they saw how she truly regarded Inoue as a friend. Her crush on Ichigo is what it is, but when she ignores Tatsuki or even Rukia condition after she's *seen* Rukia's fight - I get upset, as a girl.

And yes! I noticed in that in the flashbacks too. If it wasn't for Rukia, Ichigo would still be the stand-offish scowly boy he was, Inoue has only registered on his radar because of Rukia.
