Have just read this great BL manga by Miyamoto Kano called "Rules". It's actually really good, the art isn't pretty, but it's definitely not bad. And the characters are well-written, with some cool relationships. It also had some really funny bits, like mostly the scanlation group (NoDeadline) having fun. Srsly, if not for yaoi, my brain would have withered and died a long, damn time ago.
Bleach has been okay lately. Nel has fulfilled expectations and transformed into sexy amazon goddess. She's also proceeded to pound poor wicked Nnoi-Nnoi into HM sand. :(
I think unless I see Rukia or Gin & Aizen (should be a drinkie) I won't be satisfied. It's weird that a lot of shippers r awaiting this shoujo reunion for IchiRuki. I'm expecting it to be Epic, but I like Kubo's romantic, almost fairytale-esque type of Epic - if he suddenly went shoujo, I might pass out, or something.
Everything else has been kinda mundane. Claymore is still kicking ass, but it's been doing that every episode. Lovely Complex is still yummy and cavity-inducing. Lucky Star is still all kinds of otaku-crack. Fucking Bokurano has stopped being tears-inducing. *assholes* Rather than taking out the death scenes, they've taken out the blood and the graphic stuff. They've also taken out the broody introspection. It's still good, but like it's emo-power is down 65% or more. *bastards* I've decided to watch the series then read the manga, 'cause I'm usually hyper-critical, so I'll save myself the grief.
A few days ago the subject of the Bleach movie came up in the BA FC, and I've finally decided that I might as well watch it, since the fights r supposed to be ok, and then I can spend time ranting about the Mary-Sue. I'm not a fan of the typical serial anime movie. They usually have nada to do with the plot and r usually wrought with WTF moments...and sues. But I figured that I survived the Bounto, so some stupid sue is just like whatever.
Like the FMA movie is the exception to the rule, and of course stand-alone films like anything by Miyazawa or Satoshi Kon. Back to being inanely bored...I mean I'm listening to "Air Supply"....now that's fkn bored....o_o
