Dude, while I generally put myself on the short bus, sometimes I really do wonder how I managed to make it to such a merry old age, when I'm so insanely masochistic.
Like WHY?
My head hurts, my eyes burn, these r prolly signs of me spending too much time on the internet, or my bleeding brain. But I can explain -- yes, let me. I was in a good mood, friend emailed and is having wonderful summer-type adventures, huzzah, good mood established. Went to FC @ BA, am kinda in the shipping mood these days, but it seemed really quiet, so I decided to keep my wall of texting to myself, and my eye happened to fall on the IchiXHime FC.
I know what ur thinking, I'm not really the type to nurse unhealthy curiosities, so I didn't, right? Yes, but I'm insane and I'm stupid, which makes me insanely stupid. *headdesk*
The pictures scared me, and I barely made it past the FC rules, ne'ermind a second page! OH GODS!! *wails* I'm blind! My brain is in need of a stiff drink! A romp with pretty boys! A lobotomy! Anything to stop the PAIN!
There's no excuse really for that level of stupid. I mean, I was curious. The IchiRuki FC has like 20 000 + views, it attracts lurking like woah. I guess part of it, was that I bored and wanted to see if I could find a point to argue. But it seems that I'm more of the hysterical argumentative shipper. It was like suddenly seeing the letters H/Hr next to a fic. I'm of an open-mind, but for personal choice my brain pulls out it's "I SEE NOTHING!!" card. Its like a spoiled child.
Now for some shop talk.
"Seto no Hanayome" translating to The Inland Sea Bride, is the story of a young boy (Nagasumi Michishio, 14) who goes on summer vacation to visit his Grandmother. One day while swimming, he manages to near drown himself, only to be saved by a mermaid (Seto San).
Thus begins this crack love adventure. Its mermaid law that if they're seen by a human they need to die, but San's dad decides that Nagasumi should die, to get them out of this predicament San's mother comes up with the brilliant solution of getting them married. This turns out to result in insanity since the Seto family are Yakuza.
Every episode is comedy gold, with fun music, and San is win in that she has these "moments" she goes into where its all darkness and spotlight and moving music, and sakura petals, and San making some speech about mermaid chivalry. Also Yakuza violence.
