Everyone went to their respective corners and since Spike and I didn't really have our own corners, we stayed in the lobby for a while. We talked and flirted and touched hands, but I could see the desk, with Wesley's blood out of the corner of my eye...so my flirting wasn't the best it could be. My stomach growled, which gave us something to do. ( Read more... )

His hand was still warm from the Chinese food containers and I leaned my neck gently against the pressure. Letting out a soft sigh as he worked the kinks from my neck I tried to think of a way for Wesley to get out of this situation. I hadn't seen any of the other letters, so I no idea if the government had given him a chance to become a citizen, but either way it was basically too late for him.

I gave a small shrug and then turned around and showed Spike the letter. "He's going to be deported and he's known for...at least six months." I frowned and tapped the letter, "And what do you bet this had something to do with his knife trick earlier."

I frowned and walked over to the bags of food and started pulling it out. Apparently when I was worried and frustrated, I got real hungry. I opened a box of fried rice, poured in some soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce and started eating. I glanced at Spike and said, "I don't have a genius brain anymore, so I'm really not sure what to do in this situation. Maybe we should talk to Cordelia and Angel." I took another bite and chewed as I said, "What do you think?"

Wesley deported? Well, I suppose that could happen. The yanks are strict about immigration, but somehow I have a feeling it has more to do with the council than anything else.

"Could be. But still, being deported isn't the end of the world? Why would he try and kill himself over that? He could just go on the lam, hide out. Not like we live exactly by the rules now is it?"

At least Fred looks like she's going to eat something. I hate the idea of her fretting over Wesley, a man who rejected her and who is more of a drama queen than Angel these days.

"I don't have a genius brain anymore, so I'm really not sure what to do in this situation. Maybe we should talk to Cordelia and Angel. What do you think?"

"Probably a good idea. Not sure what else we can do, save finding Wesley an american bride to hitch up with." I joke, dipping my finger in the sweet and sour sauce.
