Ugh. Just gorgeous.

I have to ask, is Madame Greyling the scary teacher who stands near the back of the stage while Madame Morrible is welcoming the students? That's who I'm picturing.

Um, sure. :) Actually she's the sorcery instructor in the novel; I just borrowed the name (it might be spelled Grayling in the novel but I don't think so; I don't have the book with me).

I'm re-reading this and had to point out that these two lines say more about Elphaba and Nessa then nearly any other portion of your story. Nessa was horrible! I'm hoping she gets some serious comeuppance by the end of your epic.
