You know, I'm usually wary of Musicalverse fics, but... there's enough of the eloquence and maturity of the book to make it almost a combination, while keeping the characters of the musical.

I'm very much enjoying it :)

Thanks. :) Yeah, the book is really more my style, but the plotline and characterization in the musical were really more suited to my purposes here. In my head it's kind of . . . musicalverse in the book world? Or something. But anyway I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I loved that. The banter was so funny, so very Elphaba and Glinda... and I love your take on the Emerald City and their reactions to it. It seems so much more real than the way they discuss it in the musical, since I really do think it's too garish for either of their tastes.

Can't wait for more.

Well, I do think they'll have a slightly more optimistic take on the city in the morning - in my head/this story, most of all the "One Short Day" cheeriness takes place then, because otherwise the trip to the Emerald City must be really short if they also have time to run all over the city and meet the Wizard - but yeah.

I love you for this plot. I've been considering writing something where Elphaba was, essentially, frogmarched off to the Philosophy Club that one night, thus changing everything, and my friend and I have been rp'ing a scene where Glinda successfully impedes Elphaba's attempts at running off...

So, for me, anyway, this came at a perfect time :D

Characterization is wonderful! Booksical.
