Vell, vell, Mr Warren was very kind to us today and handed out TWENTY pages of work to do.. enough to keep my butt busy for the next couple of weeks. Plus, I've got two tests to study for. Brr..
In other, less depressing news, I finally did my Physics experiment correctly and in time today. Yay! It wasn't much, just rolling a ball down a slope and calculating its acceleration. I nailed the damn thing. Right in the middle of it, Danielle said, "Oh no, I've lost my balls!" Silly gal! There was no teacher in the lab, so we had a good time since we finished the experiment early.
Last night, we went to a family friend's kid's first birthday. It was such a blast. The kid's mom had organized games and poem readings for the other kids. My cousin, Insia, recited a poem about ducks:
Five little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away
The mother duck said, 'A quack quack quack!'
But only four little ducks came back!
Four little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away
The mother duck said, 'A quack quack quack!'
But only three little ducks came back!
..And so forth, until 'no little ducks came back'. I turned to Tasneem, who was sitting beside me, and said, 'Thank God she didn't start with "One billion ducks went out to play"!'
The party was a lot of fun.. Abeer and I were like always on the dance floor, though I can't dance for nuts. It felt good to just forget about binomial expansion, radian measure, algebraic division, resolving forces, circuits and the like for a few, short hours and shake my booty to whatever the DJ could play :D
