Kal-ku-lus
First fast of Ramadan today. The bus was waaaay early and I was at school an hour before I was supposed to be. It was plain silly. But on the good side, I got to sit in church longer. Does anyone know what the letters 'I.N.R.I' above the head of Jesus on the crucifixion scene mean? I thought it was supposed to say 'Melekh ha-Yehudim' or 'King of the Jews'. Oh well.. it was so peaceful in there. Abhishek spotted a guy and a girl making out in one of the last pews.
We started Calculus in MTH today. It doesn't seem so tough right now, but hey, this is just the Core 1 textbook. Mr Warren is teaching really well. Mr Paul, on the other hand, is brewing up assignments to dump on us for the weekend.
I was really sleepy all through the day today. Partly my fault too, I went for a jog before suhur/sehri [the pre-dawn meal, eaten before the fast begins at dawn] at around 0415 and came back all tired. Now I can't wait for Ramadan to get over.
I wrote an essay about myself today. I had to, as part of the application for community service at school. They asked random questions on the form... we were given certain phrases and we had to write down the first thing that came to mind when we read that phrase. For example, there was a phrase 'When I was a child...' and I was very tempted to write, 'When I was a child, I was a child :)'. Corny, I know, but that's just how sleepy I was.
Must get some sleep soon.
