How many Danus does it take to change a light bulb?
The CD I made with the Huqa Pani and other songs got stuck in my dad's car's CD player. Stupid thang ate it up and refused to give it up. When we got into the car in the morning, my dad told me to get a knife so we could get it out. We finally did get it out, but it was all scratched up.
At work, I didn't just sit and watch. I did some real "work" today! I filled out claim forms for the insurance card holders and I made files for the new ones. Dr Kishan wants me to make notes about stuff like 'deductible amounts', 'Co-Pay' and ''reconcilation', and I don't even know what exactly they mean. The day went by pretty fast and I had my lunch alone, as usual. I read a bit of Who Killed Jesus?. Mr Azam showed up early, so I went home with him. Ammi wasn't home, though, so I had to stay at Abeer's till she and Abeer's mom arrived. I read most of the time.
When Ammi finally got home, I installed the new microwave she'd bought. It's pretty simple to work.. the manual even comes with a cookbook. I helped Ammi around with a few more things.. read more of the book and finally finished it! Feels so good.. I wanna have an orgy to celebrate. Or just a cookie would do.
In the evening, I folded clothes [pretty girly stuff, huh?] and Abeer's mom called me across the street to help her change a light bulb, which I did. One bulb was fused but the other burnt nicely. The hard part was getting the glass cover on the bulb. It took me forever to finally screw the darn thing in. I was drenched in sweat by the end of it. Partly because of the humidity, but also partly because of Mariam's exasperating flashlight which kept shutting off in my face. But I finally nailed it. Well I screwed it in, but whatever.
Watered the plants at night. It was really humid today.. I splashed water on Abeer but she didn't do anything to avenge herself. Too busy on the phone.
