Chemistry and flowers

Today I had my Chemistry Units 1, 2 & 3 exams. I dunno why I was practising so many past exam papers last night or why I even stayed up till almost 12 midnight trying to finish a past paper.
Chemistry 1 was piss easy. The exam paper itself had lots of huge empty spaces i.e. less questions. I had about 15 minutes left over after completing the paper, so I checked it once and then again, a luxury that I could not afford with Biology.
Chemistry 2 was also good, it had a few tricky questions here and there but it wasn't very hard [I'm talking about the exam paper].
Chemistry 3 was great, I had a lot of fun taking this exam because of the sheer number of mathematical questions in it.
I'm finally done with the Advanced Subsidiary [AS] part of my A-levels. Next up: A2 level exams! :)

After the exam, I was standing around talking to my friends when another friend of mine, Fiona, came along with an amazing arrangement of flowers in her hands. Amazing, because it had the prettiest blue flowers I've ever seen. When we asked her where she got it from, she told us that "Sister" was handing them out to whoever was interested. Of all my friends who admired the flowers, it seemed that only I was mesmerized enough by the pretty flowers to go and get some for myself. So I went to where Fiona told me Sister was handing out the arrangments and I found Sister Josephine in the sacristy of the church (!!) which was strewn with flowers, so I asked her for some flowers and she gave me nice little arrangement with blue orchids, an odd red-spotted flower, some white flowers and a white rose.. and of course, lots of green leaves! They're not planted in soil, instead they're growing in another nutritive medium which I believe is agar jelly.. but I'm not quite sure.

Ammi with the bunch.. I don't know which of the two is prettier. Well, at least my ma won't wither away.

The bunch in the sunlight.. it's looking good on my computer desk!

The blue orchids with their purple-blue petals. Each flower has a little light blue protrusion on its side. I wonder what it's for.

Pretty, but I don't know their names. I expect my nominally challenged friend to swoop in any moment and fill me in on the details of the flower species, its genus, its petal structure and its feeding habits.

Its been a great day (for me)! Otherwise, Dubai's getting hotter, humider and dustier.
