The past few days

Thursday was Confiscate-My-Camera-Phone Day, sponsored by Mr D'Souza and Mr Paul. They barged into our Chemistry class/lab while we were carrying out some experiments. Most of us were. We were already in a hurry, as it were, because we were short on time and there were many tests left to do on the silly compounds.
Oh, and it was also Burn-My-Finger-in-A-Chemistry-Experiment Day for Abhishek. We had to heat an unknown salt in a testube which was then supposed to decompose and give off some gas which was to be tested with a glowing splint of wood. Well, in went the glowing splint and as it turned out, the gas was oxygen, so the splint flamed up with a purplish flame and Abhishek's finger got burnt. It was a blessing in disguise, though, because he had escaped to the clinic when Mr D and Mr P came a-popping.

Friday, Abeer and I went to the mall to get Mahesh's birthday gift. We ended up gawking at guys and having dinner and got the gift [a box of chocolates] right before we had to leave.

Saturday, we had a three-hour-long extra Biology class because Mrs Augustine wanted to give us the worst description of sex we've ever heard.. "copulation is the act of introducing a penis into a vagina". And calling a cock-head a "mushroom-shaped structure at the top of the corpus spongiosum"? Way cool. Also remember that nothing's better than learning about the internal workings of a woman's uterus on an otherwise bloodless Saturday morning.

We were supposed to have our Organic Chemistry test today, but some of my classmates hadn't prepared for it. So they coaxed everyone into signing a petition asking the teacher to postpone the test [does this happen in your school/college/university?!], which she did. But she was pretty upset that Abhishek, Yousuf and I had signed the petition, apparently.

Today was Mahesh's birthday, so I went to his place in the evening. It was just him, his parents and me. We played some carrom before going off to cut his horrendously creamy birthday cake and munching on some potato samosas that I had brought from home. Later we went out for dinner, but not before Mahesh came into the living room [where his parents and I were sitting] wearing nothing but his undies. We had to drive him back in to change his clothes.
We had South-Indian food at Kamat. Light stuff. I'm trying to watch my ever-expanding belly these days, you see.

Biology Coursework Scorecard: Me - 0; Procrastination - 30.
