I started on my internship today and I am, all at once, exhausted and completely overjoyed.

I'm working at the Early Childhood Center on campus every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and the ridiculous amount of excitement that I feel getting to play with little kids everyday is probably a bit sad. But I'm totally okay with that.

I read books and put together puzzles and played in the sandbox and wore a fireman hat that was probably 2,000 sizes too small for my head and had a bunch of four-year-olds hanging on my legs and telling me that Miss Jackie, you're really tall so you have to sit down here, okay?

At Circle Time we had a lesson on our new President and how he lives in a really big, white house and how we were all very excited yesterday because it was his first day at work. And then we all said that we hoped that he would do a really good job and ohmigod they are the cutest little things in the whole damn universe. Alvin told me that his mom let him watch it on TV yesterday and grinned at me when I told him that I watched too. (Ee, new President and little people! Best day ever!)

Then we did the hokey-pokey and we turned ourselves around and that really is what it's all about, apparently. Or so I was very seriously informed. And I'm kind of inclined to believe them - they were pretty darn cute.

... and, yeeeah. I'm going to stop rambling now. But, yes. I'll have plenty of interesting stories to talk about in the upcoming weeks, I imagine.

babble, college, adventures, i have sand down my bra
