[Infirmary Wardens Filter]

I'd like for Sirius to be able to assist in the infirmary under the care of Martha Snape-Jones if she would agree to such an arrangement. Her knowledge of his world and empathetic ear is something I believe Sirius would benefit from -- as long as that's not asking too much of you, Martha, and as long as he agrees to.

You know, I've never had a job in my life. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't idle, what with the war and all. But maybe it's about time. What is the job?

I do have requests. I've been sharing my firewhiskey with a friend (yes, I've made a couple, or at least I'm on friendly terms with a few people) and as a result I'm running low. I have a larger request that's more important to me. You can even ignore the firewhiskey request in place of it if you like. I want to borrow books from the Black library. I figure some sort of rotation can be set up so I only ever have a few at a time. She'll never notice they're gone.

It's in the infirmary. You like Martha, right? She's a really respected doctor aboard. It'd be easy stuff as long as blood and guts doesn't make you vomit on cue.

Sure. Magical book shelf, maybe, that can hold three or four different books that you can rotate through? I don't see why that's a problem. Am I being naive?

How much firewhiskey have you gone through this week and who are you sharing with? I'm just curious.

...she?

That's fine. I actually had a bit of a discussion about this with Severus, her husband. He suggested she might be able to tell me about Harry, my godson, since she knows his story by heart and has met him. I have no problem with blood or guts. I've seen plenty of both ( ... )

Great, I'll let Martha know and you can start immediately. She'll be in touch.

Yeah, the library sucks, and you learn a lot of things about a lot of people here that you could go your entire life without. It's awkward, to say the least. I'll have the Admiral grant you that permission and two bottles of firewhiskey a week, which won't carry over to the next week. If you could try and keep Moze's trap shut about it, though, I'd rather not piss off Snape. He's the husband of a dear friend and I'm exercising great pains to make him tolerable.

Is the library like some sort of status symbol, or what?

Sounds good.

Thank you. I don't think he'll broadcast the information to Snape, but I'll tell him not to regardless.

Something like that. At least I assume so. The books have been passed down for several generations.
