I'd like for Sirius to be able to assist in the infirmary under the care of Martha Snape-Jones if she would agree to such an arrangement. Her knowledge of his world and empathetic ear is something I believe Sirius would benefit from -- as long as that's not asking too much of you, Martha, and as long as he agrees to.

I'd like to get to know some of the folks I'm not acquainted with. There are too many new faces on the network and I don't think it's flattering for any of us not to at least know each other's names when we pass in the hall. Before the modern world ended, it was kind of an age of isolation. People were staying indoors more and playing video games, or having all meaningful conversations through text messaging. I can't remember the last time I actually connected with someone who wasn't Little Rock. [She's tired enough not to detail exactly who Little Rock is.] Hell, even after Z-Day, the two other goofy fuckers that we were living with wrote too many notes and spent more time alone than together -- I guess that's just how our generations were being reprogrammed to interact.
Fucked though this place may be in as many ways as you can count, the opportunity to have genuine communication -- at least for me -- is an undeniable opportunity.
[OOC: My internet box was the wrong brand for the kind of 'net I purchased, so I have to wait until tomorrow to get a replacement. I should be up and online soon, but I'll be tagging from work and from my phone, so it shouldn't be too bad! The only con is that I won't be on AIM much until the end of the week. All my love.]
